There was a time when there were only a few TV stations in Korea called Legacy Media. At that time, dramas brought people together in front of the TV, kept office workers at home, and moved the hearts of entire families with dramas. The content that moved people's hearts is now capturing the hearts of the world with dramas like Squid Game and content like BTS in the era of global networks.
The Department of Culture & Media includes the operational theory and practical application of media and content that moves the hearts of the world beyond the hearts of Koreans as its core curriculum. In Particular , we have implemented an integrated curriculum of media theory and content practice by integrating the Western-based communication theory with the Korean media and content industry practice.
Our media and content convergence education system will be effectively delivered to students from various countries worldwide, and students will grow into global media content experts. Although Korea's media education system has been performing well, the focus was on only Korean students, making it difficult for international students from different parts of the world to achieve the desired educational results due to language and learning methods.
Therefore, we reorganized the Korean media curriculum and system to customize the curriculum and learning contents so that international students can learn more effectively. We based theoretical courses on practical and hands-on training so that students whose Korean still needs to be perfected can also benefit from the course. By expanding the Korean media content education system from theoretical to practical and hands-on professional training, the quality of education for international students has been further enhanced.
Global talents are becoming more critical in the dynamic media environment and content industry based on networks networked content industry. The Department of Culture & Media fosters and trains nurtures and educatesstudents to realize the joy of content in the media of new ideas and innovation. In doing so, the Department of Culture & Media nurtures students as crucial global media content exchange players.
We hope all students will participate in the Department of Culture & Media's growing history in global media content.
